The mission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness is to collect, organize, maintain and analyze institutional data that support the management, operations, planning and decision making functions of the Health Science Center.

As the primary collector of institutional data, this office strives to assist executive leadership and the Health Science Center community by providing reliable, relevant, quality information to facilitate planning, budgeting, accountability, institutional assessment, program evaluation, and policy development. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness provides this information for the internal and external reporting requirements of the Health Science Center and for use in surveys, reports, and benchmarking activities. This office ensures that the strategic plan is implemented and evaluated, and is also responsible for coordinating activities related to accreditation.

The main goal of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness is to promote continuous quality improvement across the Health Science Center. Achievement of this goal is supported by an ongoing cycle of planning, assessment, reporting of results, and use of results to produce institutional change.
