Associate Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs and Chief of Staff

Lee Ann Ray, Ed.D., is chief of staff to Nancy W. Dickey, M.D., and associate vice chancellor for health affairs for The Texas A&M University System. Dr. Ray began her service with the TAMHSC in 2007.

An educator for 19 years, Dr. Ray formerly was superintendent for the Center Point (Texas) Independent School District, serving five years in the district. She was also a school principal for 11 years and is widely experienced in leadership, education, strategic planning and analysis of systemic processes.

Dr. Ray obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from then-Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University-San Marcos), followed by a master’s degree from Sul Ross State University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
